The Diplomat Movie Review
After playing the bad guy in Pathaan alongside Shah Rukh Khan, John Abraham is back with a new film, The Diplomat. This action-packed movie is based on true events and stars John as an Indian diplomat on a risky mission to rescue an Indian woman from Pakistan. Directed by Shivam Nair, the film is a mix of politics, emotions, and hard-hitting action, making it a must-watch for fans of thrillers.
John Abraham is known for giving his all to every role, and The Diplomat was no different. To get into character, he attended workshops and even met the real-life diplomat JP Singh, who inspired his role. John shared how Singh visited the set, and he carefully observed his calm and thoughtful nature. “JP Singh sir speaks in a very simple and kind way, but you can see he’s always planning ahead, like a chess player,” John said.
To make his performance even more authentic, John trained with acting coach Saurabh Sachdeva. He worked on his body language, dialogue delivery, and overall personality to match the smart and composed nature of a diplomat. John compared this role to his earlier films like Madras Cafe, No Smoking, and Parmanu, where he played serious and complex characters.
Actress Sadia Khateeb, who plays an important role in the film, shared her excitement about working on The Diplomat. She also talked about how she bonded with John over their love for bikes. Sadia said she’s been a fan of motorcycles since watching Dhoom as a kid and was thrilled to see John’s amazing bike collection. She even joked that if the film does well, John should gift her a bike, and he happily agreed.
With its strong performances, real-life story, and edge-of-the-seat action, The Diplomat is set to be a gripping watch. The film releases on March 14, just in time for the Holi weekend, and is expected to draw big crowds to theaters. However, early reports suggest the film might open with around Rs 2-2.5 crore at the box office. Still, fans of John Abraham and action-packed dramas are eagerly waiting to see this intense story come to life on the big screen.
