In a statement to Midday, Mammootty’s team confirmed that the actor is in good health and doing perfectly fine. They dismissed the rumours and reassured fans that there is no truth to the claims about his health.

The statement read, “It is fake news. He is on vacation because he is fasting for Ramzan. He is on a break from his shoot schedule as well because of that. In fact, after the break he will go back to shooting for Mahesh Narayanan’s film with Mohanlal.”
About Mammootty.
Mammootty, the renowned Malayalam film actor, was born to Ismail, an agriculturist, and Fatima, a homemaker. He has two younger brothers, Ibrahim and Zakariah, and three sisters, Ameena, Sauda, and Shafina.
Mammootty completed his schooling at St. Joseph’s Thevara and Maharaja’s College. He later pursued law at Ernakulam Government Law College. It was during his time at Maharaja’s College that he got his first break in the film industry as an extra (junior artist) in the 1971 movie Anubhavangal Paalichakal.
Over the years, Mammootty, along with Mohanlal, became one of the top stars in the Malayalam film industry. Known for his versatility and powerful performances, he has cemented his place as one of the most respected actors in South Indian cinema.
